Refund Policy
How CodeB Identity Solutions — a product line of Aloaha Limited — handles refunds on software licences purchased through www.codeb.io or directly from our sales team.
At a glance. Every CodeB product can be evaluated in full before you buy a licence. Because of that, and because issued licence keys cannot be revoked once delivered, all sales are final and no refunds are issued on purchased licences. If you are unsure whether CodeB fits your environment, please run a pilot first — we will help you scope one.
1. Evaluate before you buy
Every CodeB product — the Credential Provider V2 with the Web SSO and Desktop Switcher add-ons — is available as a fully functional evaluation build on request. The evaluation is the same binary as the licensed release; it is not feature-limited. You can run it on production-equivalent workstations, against your real Active Directory or Entra ID, with your real token types, for the duration of your pilot.
Pilots are billed at the lowest tier price for up to 90 days. That is the moment at which any concern about fit, performance, integration or compliance should surface and be resolved. Our engineers join your pilot calls and will work the issues with you.
2. Why purchases are final
Once a licence key is issued and delivered, it cannot be revoked technically — the installation continues to function entirely from the local key. That property is intentional, because it underwrites the sovereignty guarantees in our privacy policy (no SaaS control plane, no cloud or internet connection required to run the product, air-gap deployable). The trade-off is that we cannot offer a refund-after-purchase flow in the way a cloud SaaS provider can.
Concretely, this means:
- Licence purchases are final at the moment the key is issued.
- No refunds are issued for licences that were purchased without first running an evaluation pilot.
- Multi-year, multi-seat and bundled-tier purchases are non-refundable on the same basis.
- Cancelling a renewal stops future billing but does not refund the current term.
3. Narrow exceptions
We do consider — and in practice grant — refunds in the following limited cases:
- Duplicate or accidental purchase within 14 days of the order, where the duplicate licence has not been deployed.
- Demonstrable defect that we cannot remediate within a reasonable time (typically 30 days) after a support ticket is opened, where the defect materially prevents the licensed product from functioning as documented.
- Statutory consumer rights under applicable EU and Maltese law, where those rights apply (CodeB is sold business-to-business in normal course; consumer-protection clauses are recognised where mandatory).
Refunds granted under one of the exceptions above are issued to the original payment method, less any third-party transaction fees that cannot be reversed.
4. Subscription renewals
Annual subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel renewal at any time by emailing info@codeb.io with "Cancel renewal" in the subject line and your contract reference in the body. Cancellation stops the next billing cycle; it does not refund the current term.
5. How to ask
If you believe your situation falls under section 3, write to info@codeb.io with "Refund request" in the subject line. Include your contract reference, the order date, and a short description of why you are requesting a refund. We will acknowledge within two business days and reach a decision within ten business days.

General questions about pricing, evaluation pilots or this refund policy can go to info@codeb.io or to the telephone numbers listed on our contact page. We would much rather scope a successful pilot with you up front than process a refund afterwards.
